Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Champ, an AI sales copilot for Microsoft Outlook, and all related services (the "Service") operated by Palmer Apps ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Champ, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Champ Does

Champ is an Outlook Add-in that analyzes your email threads for sales signals and generates AI-powered draft replies in your writing style. It also provides deal qualification analysis (MEDDIC), sender enrichment, voice profile learning, and calendar-aware scheduling.

Champ is a tool to help you write better emails faster. It does not send emails on your behalf — you always review and send yourself.

2. Account and Access

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Champ
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• One account per person. Don't share accounts across team members unless you're on a Teams plan
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

3. Acceptable Use

Use Champ for legitimate B2B sales communication. Don't use it to:

• Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk email
• Generate misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our AI prompts or proprietary logic
• Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in a way that degrades service for others
• Resell access to Champ without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

4. AI-Generated Content

Champ uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate email drafts and analysis. You should know:

• Review before sending. AI drafts are suggestions, not final copy. Always read what you're about to send.
• You own the output. Email drafts generated by Champ are yours to use, edit, and send.
• AI isn't perfect. Drafts may contain inaccuracies, tone mismatches, or hallucinated details. We do our best to minimize this, but you are responsible for what you send.
• No legal/financial advice. Champ is a sales productivity tool, not a legal, financial, or compliance advisor.

5. Pricing and Billing

• Free tier: 10 AI drafts per day, basic features. No credit card required. No SLA — we may throttle or limit free accounts during high demand.
• Pro ($29/month): Unlimited drafts, advanced voice learning, deal context, competitor tracking, priority support.
• Teams ($99/month): Everything in Pro for up to 10 seats, plus admin dashboard and shared playbooks.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel anytime — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

6. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees, especially for the free tier. Specifically:

• The Service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic, Microsoft, Railway, Vercel). Outages on their end may affect Champ.
• We may perform maintenance with reasonable advance notice when possible.
• Free accounts have no SLA. Paid accounts can expect reasonable availability, but we're a small team and not offering 99.9% uptime guarantees at this stage.

7. Intellectual Property

• Our stuff: The Champ software, AI prompts, design, brand, and documentation are owned by Palmer Apps. You get a license to use them, not ownership.
• Your stuff: You retain full ownership of your email content, voice profiles, deal context, and any drafts you create. We don't claim rights to your data.
• Feedback: If you send us feature suggestions or feedback, we may use those ideas in the product without obligation to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Champ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose
• We are not responsible for lost deals, missed opportunities, or any business outcomes resulting from AI-generated content

In plain English: Champ helps you write emails faster, but we can't guarantee it will close your deals. Use your own judgment.

9. Account Termination

• By you: Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing chris@palmer-app.com. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.
• By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, abuse, or non-payment. We'll try to give you notice first, but reserve the right to act immediately for serious violations.

10. Privacy

Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data. The short version: we don't store your email content, we don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you via email for material changes. Continuing to use Champ after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
